Human Rights is the great question

Garrison, commenting on the 1840 London Convention, says that, by refusing to consider “other questions” than abolition, and by excluding women they  had discredited themselves as abolitionists by reaching the wrong conclusion …. for women and slaves had identical claims to equal rights. Human rights ….that is the great question which agitates the age.
