Charles Lenox Remond welcomed in Salem

“On Monday evening , January 10th, the colored people of Salem had a public meeting to welcome Remond to his native city, after an absence of eighteen months in Europe.  The meeting was held in the church of colored people, which, though not public ntlice was given, was thronged…..
