Democrats, pro-slavery

The Democratic Address

We perceive that several of the northern democratic papers omit that part of it which related to slavery.  It is no wonder that they are ashamed of it.  The truth is, that the hardy democrats of New England will not tie such a mill-stone as the pro-slavery portion of that address about their necks. It would be political suicide.
