Notice of the establishment of an Irish Emigrant Society, with a purpose “to exercise a watchful supervision over all impoverished emigrants on landing here, given them temporary shelter and assistance by the most careful and judicious management, and with the least possible delay  to facilitate their passage to the Western states, where the resources of the country are abundant…….”
