James Russell Lowell, with his family has returned in the steamer Canada, from Liverpool, arrived at Boston on Sunday, after an absence of sixteen months, spent travelling in Italy, France, Switzerland and Great Britain. A very gratifying trip has been enjoyed.
Mr. Thackeray, the author, is also a passenger in the same vessel.
