Port Royal, S.C., Feb 3d The first South Carolina negro regiment arrived here yesterday from an expedition sixty miles up the St. Mary’s River., GA., to the town of Woodstock, which they burnt, after having repulsed the enemy in a severe engagement. They also destroyed some extensive salt works. The regiment fought like veterans, and repulsed superior numbers.
