NO SLAVEHOLDING IN MASSACHUSETTS

The November 23, 1860 Liberator, under the above title, urges people to sign a petition.   Let the world know how many there are among us who remember for those in bonds as bound with them, and are for protecting the fugitive.  Put an end to SLAVE-HUNTING  in Massachusetts by enactin that no person, who has been held as a slave, shall be delivered up, by any officer or court, State or Federal, within this commonwealth, to any one claiming him the ground that he owns ‘service or labour’ to such claimant, by the laws of the Slave States of this Union.
