Petition for Right of Women to vote

The petition to the Senate and House of the General Court of Massachusetts demands the right of suffrage for women, “a right which involves all other rights of citizenship”.  It asks legislators “to take necessary steps for the revision of the Constitution, so that all citizens may enjoy equal political rights”.  (Liberator, June 25, 1858)
