A Petition to Harvard Overseers

The following petition needs no explanation; and the readers of the Liberator will need no arguments to induce them to sign it.  If those who feel an interest in the subject will circulate this within a few days, and forward it to the Anti-Slavery Office, we will endeavor to make good use of their names.

To the Board of Overseers of Harvard College:

The undersigned respectfully ask your Honorable Body to take such measures as shall open the classes of the Undergraduates and those of the Schools of Theology, Law, Medicine and Science, to all persons without distinction of color.
