Results of the Proclamation

– In an article from the Cleveland Leader, there is a table showing the number of slaves freed by the proclamation of January 1^st, and the number yet remaining in slavery:

                  In three separate columns the table shows a number, designating:         Freed, Still Slaves, and  Total of both

Totals are shown in each of the above columns for:  Alabama, Arkansas, Delaware, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maryland, Mississippi, Missouri, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Eastern Virginia, Western Virginia. Total of all states:
