Many have done nobly, but it seems to us just now that the ladies of Boston have exceeded them all. We mean the Boston Female Anti-Slavery Society, the undaunted little band who met and prayed for the slave in the midst of a mob of five thousand “gentlemen of property and standing” on the memorable 22nd of October, 1835. They have issued a second “Right and Wrong In Boston”, for 1836. (Liberator, Jan 21, 1837, pg 4)
