The agents of the Wilberforce Settlement, in Upper Canada, have made an earnest appeal to the clergymen in this country, requesting them to take up collections in its behalf on the ensuing Fourth of July, or the Sabbath preceding that day. This infant colony deserves the sympathies, prayers and charities of the friends of bleeding humanity, and we hope the request of its Agents will not be superseded by the preposterous claim of the Colonization Society.
