Abolition Society in Marshfield-

On the 1st inst. a respectable number of the inhabitants of Marshfield assembled in the Methodist Meeting-house, and a Society was formed, consisting of sixty-four members, and a Constitution adopted. The following gentlemen were elected officers of the Society:

President  — Wales Tilden, Jr.       Vice Presidents  — Arel Ames,   Joshua W. Simmons

Secretary  — Richard Thayer          Treasurer  —  Chas. W. Macomber        Directors –Anthony Thomas,  Chas. Hatch,  David P.Hatch
