Fugitives Remanded to Slavery

Fugitives Remanded to Slavery  —  New York, May 1  — Two fugitive slaves, from Maryland, were arrested in this city yesterday, and, after an examination before Commissioner Botts,  were ordered to be sent back  to their owners, in Liberty (!) district, Md. They are now on their way there.   There was no disturbance because the affair was managed with the secrecy of kidnapping.
