M.E. Church abolition sheets

At a public meeting held in Taylor county, Va., on the 8th of August, the ‘present position of the Northern division of the M.E. Church on the slavery question, the action of its general and annual conferences, and the course of its editors and clergy,’ were strongly condemned, and the ‘five Christian Advocates’ characterizes as abolition sheets of the rankest character, such as demand the interference of the law.
