Slave escape, in D.C.

On Saturday night, about fifteen slaves left Georgetown, D.C. , in a covered wagon under the pretence of going to a camp-meeting, but as they have not since been heard from, it is supposed they have made track for a free station. Officers have gone in pursuit.    (Liberator, September, 4, 1857 pg3)
