There is one brief article from Parker Pillsbury, telling of a mob which interrupted an abolition meeting in Ann Arbor, Michigan, and a second letter from Susan B. Anthony, telling of a similar disturbance in Rome, New York.

Here is an appeal from Susan B. Anthony, directed To The Readers of The Liberator in the State of New York. Anthony calls for women to sign and solicit the names of others on a petition to the state legislature “to prevent the capture and return of fugitive slaves”. She calls upon them to remember that “one half of the slave victims are women”.
