This brief article tells that William Wells Brown has recently given an “entertaining and instructive dissertation on Love, Courtship, and Marriage”, at the Joy Street church. Also that, John S. Rock, has delivered a lecture, “Voyage of An American Outlaw”, at the Twelfth Baptist Church, and that, William H. Simpson, a young colored man has opened a studio on Court Street, where he will “execute Portraits in Oil and Pastel”. The article is signed by W.C. N.
