Death of Mrs. Adams . – Mrs. Adams, the venerable relict of the late John Quincy Adams, ex-President of the United States. Died at her residence, on F–st., Washington, on Saturday, the 15th inst. Washington, May 18 The funeral of Mrs. Louisa Adams took place at 11 o’clock, this morning. The President and all the members of the Cabinet, with the exception of Mr. Webster, were present, also, Gen. Scott, Gen. Wood, a large assemblage of Congressmen and others.
The Episcopal burial service was read by Rev. Dr. Payne, when the body was removed for interment in the Congregational Cemetery, from whence it will be taken to Quincy, Mass.
