Lucretia Mott
This well known friend of humanity, and preacher of righteousness, has written a letter to one of her friends in Nantucket, wherein she says: ‘Now that nearly three score years are mine, the prospect of resting, even though not on laurels, is delightful. I was admonished years ago, in hearing _________ preach after her voice was failing her, that at sixty it would be time for me to give place to the younger’.
