THE PARKER DONATIION TO THE BOSTON PUBLIC LIBRARY

At a regular meeting of the Board of Aldermen, on Monday, Sept 10, 1860, Mayor Lincoln in the chair  —  The Committee on the Public Library, to whom was referred the letter of His Honor the Mayor, dated July 18, 1860,transmitting to the City Council a communication from Board of Trustees of the Public Library, enclosing a copy of that portion of the will of the late Rev. Theodore Parker which refers to his  valuable bequest of his own private library to the Public Library of the City of Boston.
