Reception for Frederick Douglass

May 21, 1847 

The story of a reception at the Belknap Street Church, May 3, with a crowd to welcome Douglass upon his return from England.  Resolutions of commendation are passed.  Garrison, Phillips, Bibb speak glowingly of Douglass, and he addresses the assembly.  Nell is appointed President of the occasion, Robert Morris, a Vice President.
