A Word from Wilberforce

On the front page, upper left corner, the Liberator,  September 3, 1831, there is this quote from William Wilberforce.  “Slavery is the full measure of pure, unmixed, unsophisticated wickedness; and scorning all competition or comparison,  it stands without a rival in the secure, undisputed possession of its detestable pre-eminence.”
