David Ruggles, and the ‘Mirror of Liberty’

Mirror of Liberty .   Pursuant to notice  given by Mr. Augustas W. Hanson, agent for the ‘Mirror of Liberty’, a public meeting was held October 8th, in the Infant School Room, Belknap street, by a highly respectable number of colored citizens of this city to take into consideration the great importance of sustaining the claims of that periodical, published in New York and edited by Mr. David Ruggles.

Mr. Ruggles is, withal, a man of talents, and, though self-taught, wields his pen with great vigor and propriety.  We hope he will obtain all needed patronage.
