Death of George Bourne
The New York papers announce the sudden death of the Rev. George Bourne, of that city, from apoplexy or a disease of the heart. He was one of the earliest, most uncompromising and powerful opponents of slavery in the United States, and deserves to be remembered by posterity with gratitude and honor. We shall endeavor to express our feelings more fully in the Liberator next week.
