Garrison’s Madness

Under the Refuge of Oppression column is a response to Garrison’s comments on George Fitzhugh’s ‘Cannibal’s All; or, Slaves Without Masters’.  “Garrison is a clamorous, hot-headed, bull-necked, fanatical abolitionist, who is actually imposing upon others by his own fallacies and false deductions.  He never investigates, never examines, but asserts without the least foundation or basis. ….  He displays gross ignorance, damning ignorance, as a man, the leader, the head and front of a devilish clan…”
