Political Anti-Slavery Convention

June 15, 1860

Here is an account of the recent Convention, held in Boston, called by S. Stephen Foster, and others.  It claims to be a condensation of reports from Boston papers, and cautions readers “to make allowance for the prejudices as well as the haste of the reporters.”

Action at the convention includes one which names the group as The New England Political Anti-Slavery Association, with hopes soon for a similar national group, and for a National Political Anti-Slavery Party.
