The following is a copy of a placard which was posted up in various parts of the city of New York, on the morning of May 13, 1835 — referring to the annual meeting of the American Anti-Slavery Society.
ABOLITIONISTS AGAIN !!!’
Fellow Citizens: — These mischievous and deluded fanatics are again at work, endeavoring to create a civil disturbance in our country ! Having just received a fresh stock of Fomentors from England! They are fully prepared for executing their diabolical designs.
N.B. They hold another meeting to-morrow morning, the 14th May, 9 o’clock, cor. Of Houston and Thompson sts.
