Those Fanatical Abolitionists !!

(This article appears with the “characteristic” Garrison finger pointing at it.)

The following is a copy of a placard which was posted up in various parts of the city of New York, on the morning of May 13, 1835  — referring to the annual meeting of the American Anti-Slavery Society.

Fellow Citizens:  — These mischievous and deluded fanatics are again at work, endeavoring to create a civil disturbance in our country !  Having just received a fresh stock of Fomentors from England!  They are fully prepared for executing their diabolical designs.

N.B.  They hold another meeting to-morrow morning, the 14th May, 9 o’clock, cor. Of Houston and Thompson sts.
