West India Emancipation Celebrated , Rev. Stella Martin

Celebration of West Indian Emancipation at St. John, N. B.   — On the 1st of August, the anniversary  of the emancipation in the West Indies was celebrated in St. John, N.B., in a very interesting and imposing manner.  The oration was delivered by Rev. J. Stella Martin, pastor of the Joy street church, Boston.  About one thousand participated in the ceremonies.
