Anti-Slavery Society, Andover Theological Seminary

Theological Seminary, Andover, March 4, 1833  —  Mr. Garrison  — You are requested by the Anti-Slavery Society of this Seminary, to publish, in your paper, the following Resolutions, which were adopted at a recent meeting of that Society.   1. That Slavery, as it exists in this country, is repugnant to the spirit of the gospel, and destructive to the interests of morality and religion….4.  That the Colonization Society tends to give security and permanence to the slave system, and to discourage the education and elevation of the free people of color in our own country; and is consequently unworthy of support.
