Corner Stone of Masonic Temple defaced.

OUTRAGE. The corner stone of the Masonic Temple which is to be erected in Tremont-street, was defaced last week by an unknown scribbler, who inscribed upon it, in conspicuous letters, the startling term, ‘Golgatha’. This is low business, even for a liberated tenant of the State Prison. We are glad to perceive that, on motion of the Rev. Mr. Thacher , (a distinquished anti-mason), a committee has been appointed in the Senate to inquire into the expediency of providing by law against marring or defacing buildings, fences and building materials, by cutting, staining, painting or otherwise…………..
