The January 1, 1847, pg 1, Liberator includes this notice. A letter from Richard D. Webb, Dublin, November 17, 1846, tells of the death of Rogers. Webb, in his letter, recounts his admiration of Rogers, having met in London during the 1840 World Convention. In the letter there is some recognition of the differences which later occurred between Rogers and the “Boston clique”.
