Emancipation in the Dutch Colonies

From the  N. Y. Tribune, is an article about the abolition of slavery  in the Colony of Surinam.  The original article is from the Netherlands Royal Gazette, and describes content of the law passed, naming the conditions and principles of emancipation, to take effect on the first of July, 1863,  (Liberator, June 12, 1863)
