Rev. Garnet attack in Syracuse

On Wednesday night one or two rowdies attacked the Rev. Highland Garnet in front of the St. Charles Hotel, where he is stopping.  He was struck and knocked down, and lost a valuable gold cane, which was presented to him on the occasion of leaving New York.  The good people of Syracuse are indignant at this act of wickedness and rowdy spite.
